How to install a shower on the dacha
Not everyone can afford to arrange an artificial pool or a small reservoir at his dacha, but I really want to refresh myself and return the spent energy! An excellent way out in this situation will be the installation of a shower, right on the street.
There are several options here:
You can put a tank on the four dug-out posts, hang a sheet and use a summer shower.
Buy a set of aluminum tubes and a piece of film, which are called “Summer Shower”. However, such a device is suitable only for easy pumping in especially hot weather.
But all this is unreliable and short-lived, so it is worth thinking about building something more convenient and comfortable.
You can arrange a garden shower in a fairly simple way, without great expense.
First of all, you need to make a house, using virtually any material at hand. Naturally, the tree is best suited, since it is certainly an ecological material and quite durable. Bearing pillars are also better to be made of wood, so it will be easier to attach other parts to them.
The pillars themselves are placed at a distance of about one meter from each other, and the horizontal bars are nailed directly to them. To sheathe the structure is best wooden clapboard. It is not worth painting the walls, as the paint prevents the wood from “breathing”.
The door is hung with the opening side to the carrying pillar with hinges on another beam, not dug into the ground, but attached behind the casing. In the wall, opposite the window, it is necessary to make a window for lighting and ventilation of the shower cabin.
The wooden floor is laid at a height of about 15 cm above the ground level on the horizontal bars, which are attached to the supporting pillars. In this case, the bars should not be located directly on the ground so that the water can easily escape from the shower through the gaps between the boards.
The most basic element of the summer shower is a water tank. Well, when the tank replaces the entire roof. For example, a car fuel tank, which has a comfortable flat shape, suitable water holes, secure fittings and high durability. If there is no such tank, you can use any plastic container. The tank must be tightly closed with a lid so that dust and small insects cannot get into the water. The exhaust pipe is located at the bottom of the tank so that no water remains in the tank.
For prevention, from time to time, antiseptics that are not harmful to humans (hydroponic or potassium permanganate) can be thrown into the tank. It is especially useful to add iodine to water, but not often, since iodine damages the steel elements of the tank.
Lighting in the shower cabin is not recommended, since in this case it can bring even very high-quality grounding. It is better to use a portable flashlight for the night.
