We build a gazebo with their own hands

Arbor can be built on the lawn near the house. The arbours are varied in shape: square, round, octagonal and others. The most convenient height for a gazebo from floor to roof is about two meters fifty centimeters.

The floor in the gazebo can be either simply rammed earth or a mixture of rubble and sand, or wooden flooring. For light wooden arbors, the roof can be made of fabric, small wooden materials for the roof, climbing plants, but slate, corrugated sheet, metal sheets are suitable for durable structures.

Start building gazebos with the preparation of pits under the supporting pillars. Already prepared wooden poles are installed in pits and fixed together with transverse slats at a height of one and a half meters. This is done before the pits are filled with concrete. The pillars are finally fixed with concrete.

If the floor of the gazebo consists of rubble and sand, then a place is cleared and leveled. Then the floor is covered first with a layer of sand one centimeter thick and a layer of crushed stone three centimeters thick. For the device of a wooden floor it is necessary to prepare a frame of bars having a cross section of forty to forty millimeters, which are connected in the corners on the “mustache”. Grooves are made at the outer corners of the frame. Next, the frame is laid by the grooves on the concrete columns. Since the grooves abut against the supporting pillars, the frame will be firmly strengthened. The remaining gaps between the frame and the pillars, pour a solution. Then lags are placed on the frame, having an interval of forty centimeters. Then consistently we lay waterproofing on logs: sheets of roofing material and plastic film. Laying sheets of roofing material is overlapped, in other matters, as well as plastic film. Now the turn has come, and to nail the floorboards.

Since the floor made will turn out to be about thirty centimeters higher than the ground level, you will have to make a ladder for the convenience of entering the gazebo. For the stairs will be quite only two or three steps. Supporting the stairs is better to make wooden posts-chairs. So the ladder will be made absolutely independent, which completely eliminates possible deformations.

It is time to plan out where the entrance door will be, if of course, it is provided at all. The door can be installed with the construction of an arbor with lattice windows. For a glazed gazebo, ventilation should be provided, leaving a gap of about four centimeters under the door and making an outlet on top of the opposite wall. The walls can also be made of wooden panels, glass, openwork wooden gratings and other materials.

For arbours dvukhskatnaya roof may well fit. The material for the roof is selected from corrugated board, slate, roofing felt, iron, a more expensive option – this is a roof of tiles. For lighter designs, the roof is made of a fabric or tarpaulin impregnated with a waterproof composition. A nylon cord is passed into the fabric sewn along the perimeter. On this cord more than twelve pieces of steel hooks are fastened, which fix the panel to the roof frame.

And so it will turn out a wonderful space for recreation, which, moreover, can become an ornament of the whole site.
