Caring for the porcelain stoneware
Before decorating the walls with porcelain stoneware, few people think that this finishing material needs some additional care in order for it to retain its original appearance for quite a long time. Over time, everyone realizes that they are deeply mistaken, because this material, during operation, loses its mechanical and chemical resistance. In order for the porcelain stoneware to last as long as possible, it is necessary to treat it carefully and periodically take care of it.
First of all, it is necessary to avoid the use of aggressive household chemicals, which consist of alkali or concentrated acids, during the cleaning of porcelain stoneware. Such tools are able to clean the surface from contamination quite well, but they also penetrate well into the joints between the porcelain tiles, thus destroying the structure of the material, which further leads to the detachment of the porcelain tile and discoloration of the substance that makes up the grout structure.
Even today, the tile is stacked using a durable mortar adhesive that has chemical resistance, but it is still better to use professional tools for cleaning and caring for porcelain stoneware, having previously checked them on a small section of the tile.
You also need to abandon the use of abrasive powders, as they include hard rock, which can greatly harm the surface, in the form of scratches and scuffs, which will lead to a loss of aesthetic beauty, and your tile will look unattractive.
After you have finished the room with porcelain stoneware, you should avoid carrying out repair work near the finished surfaces. Since any fallen tool can damage the tile, which in the future will have to be replaced.
It is also recommended to treat the tiles with a special water-repellent solution. This is done so that it is not difficult to remove the pollution obtained without causing any damage to the structure of the stone.
If coffee, juice and other substances of this kind are accidentally caught on the tile, they must be wiped before they dry. For cleaning you need to use only detergents for polished and glossy surfaces.
If you adhere to all the above recommendations, your porcelain tile will always shine on cleanliness and will last for many years, while maintaining all its qualities and aesthetic beauty.
