How and what to put liquid wallpaper on the wall

High-quality repair is good, but expensive. You can cheap, it means and not very high quality! And how to make not very expensive and with good quality? There are many ways to do this. In this case, we will focus on the material called “Liquid Wallpaper.”

What is liquid wallpaper?
They consist of natural ingredients, without static charge. They do not collect dust, are fireproof and have the ability to “breathe.” And most importantly – they do not have seams and do not require careful preparation of the walls. For people who are engaged in repair themselves, this is a wide scope of creative search and self-realization. For convex-concave corners and “vertical” door frame jambs, this wallpaper fits perfectly.

Working with them is easy. We take a package with liquid wallpaper, read the instructions for use and act accordingly. Next, at the end of the stage of dissolving them in water, proceed to the preparation of the walls. It consists in applying a primer. For the primer of the walls it is more expedient to apply white zinc or, at worst, water-based emulsion. And do not forget, the color of the primer must match the color of the wallpaper, otherwise you can ruin everything.

When the wall is prepared, we begin to “glue” the liquid wallpaper.

What to put liquid wallpaper on the walls?
For application, you can use a spatula, roller, can be applied by hand or any other object – all this at your discretion. To give “texture” you can use various additives that are sold right there in the store. When applying the wallpaper, do not rush, apply a layer no thicker than 0.3-0.6 cm. Wet the places of the joints of the applied strips with water to level them.

It is possible to apply these wallpapers on metal surfaces, having previously processed them for moisture protection (wallpapers absorb water).

What to do next?

And then you just have to wait patiently for them to dry out. It is not long, two – three days and the wallpaper will take the color indicated on the package.

Caring for wallpaper.

Places where the wallpaper is wiped the most intensely, can be covered with liquid glass. At strong pollution – the damaged areas are removed, instead of them a new layer is rolled up. But do not forget that over time the color of the coating changes.

In addition, liquid wallpaper is well combined with many materials, both natural and artificial. This coating looks good in the living room and in the office.
